What is cellulite?

Do you have uneven, lumpy skin on your thighs, hips or buttocks? This is quite commonly how cellulite presents and is commonly found in these areas. It mostly occurs in women due to differences in fat distribution. It affects 80 to 90 per cent of women in varying degrees. There are many potential factors thought to contribute to cellulite. The amount of cellulite you may have can be based on your genes, body fat percentage and thickness of your skin.

A good diet and exercise can help reduce the appearance of cellulite; however, it can’t completely get rid of it. For this reason, many women are seeking a solution to help reduce the effects of cellulite and we at 3D Aesthetics in Leamington Spa have an amazing solution.

Our award-winning 3D lipo-ultimatepro machine is a multi-technology device combining the most sought-after technologies that allow us to tackle cellulite. Through the combination of Cavitation, Radio Frequency, and shockwave therapy, the fat cells responsible for the appearance of cellulite are eradicated, smoothed out, and circulation and lymph drainage is improved.

Cellulite may be caused by:

Unhealthy lifestyle

  • Poor diet

  • Genetics

  • Hormones

  • Weight gain

Cavitation - This technology delivers strong ultrasound energy through a handpiece placed on the skin's surface into the fat cells creating waves of pressure the fat cells can't withstand. This very quickly breaks down the fat cells. The damaged cells release the energy stored in the fat cell into the spaces between the cells, where it is then picked up by the body's natural waste removal system. This gives an inch loss reduction in the treated area.

Radio Frequency - This technology heats the fatty tissue to a temperature of 41 degrees. This causes the cells to metabolise and flatten, creating a smoothing effect in the treatment area.

Shockwave therapy - This technology stimulates fat breakdown, collagen synthesis, and lymphatic drainage. Shockwave therapy is delivered by placing a probe up against cellulite areas. As it passes over the region, it emits radial waves through the skin.
